Bogota, Oct 10 (efe-epa).- Colombian league's Junior de Barranquilla beat Tolima 4-3, making an astounding comeback after trailing 0-3 in the first half, largely thanks to a great performance by Teofilo Gutierrez, who had a brace.

"Teo," who was put on the field when his team was already down 0-3, led the turnaround on Tuesday by scoring two of the four goals, helping Junior advance to the fourth spot in the league, while Tolima are in the first position.

Tolima scored their first just two minutes into regulation, when Yohandry Orozco made a right-footed shot from the center of the box, placing the ball neatly into the bottom-left corner.

The second goal came in the 11th minute, with a remarkable header by midfielder Julian Quiñones off a corner kick from the right side.

Tolima scored their third in the 32nd minute, when Orozco stole the ball from winger Marlon Piedrahita and then passed it to Marco Perez, who made a right-footed shot from mid-distance, driving the ball straight into the top-left corner.

Gutierrez replaced midfielder Sebastian Hernandez at the start of the second half, which is when Junior made their astonishing comeback.

Jarlan Barrera scored Junior's first in the 58th minute, with a left-footed shot off an excellent cross from the left by Luis Diaz.

Piedrahita made up for his first-half mistake by helping set up Junior's second goal in the 66th minute, making a cross from the right to Teo, who scored from close distance.

The tie came with just 13 minutes left to play and was also the result of a cross from the right, this time by winger Daniel Moreno, while Piedrahita tapped it in mid-air from close distance.

The winning goal was scored with eight minutes left in regulation, when Diaz made a cross from the left to a sprinting Teo, who tapped it in from the right.
