Monterrey, Mexico, Aug 11 (efe-epa).- Enrique Triverio and William Da Silva scored a goal each Saturday to give a 2-1 victory to Toluca against the Tigers UANL who had 29 games without a loss in their home venue Stadium University.

Triverio and Da Silva each scored at the 53-minute and 63-minute marks respectively while Andre Pierre Gignac scored Tiger's only goal at 15 minutes.

The Tigers, who came from a defeat against Cruz Azul, went out by three points and in the 10th minute took advantage with a header from Gignac who passed it to Jurgen Damm, however in the 22nd minute Guido Pizarro was shown a red card in a controversial decision which changed the rest of the game.

The Tigers' Ismael Sosa stepped on the area and was about to expand the advantage, but Toluca remained calm and in the second half imposed its dominance.

At 53 minutes Luis Mendoza passed a center to Triverio who made a header; the ball then bounced off goalkeeper Nahuel Guzman leading Triverio to score a tie.

Toluca went for more and at 63 minutes secured another goal from Da Silva who accepted a pass from Luis Quiñones and shot at the post giving victory to his team.

At 70 minutes the Tigers' midfielder Javier Aquino was also shown a red card for offending the referee twice, a decision following which the Tigers could do little to recover from.

Toluca has now climbed from the ninth to fifth place in the standings with seven points while the Tigers are down at eighth with six points.

In the match between Leon and Queretaro, Leon secured a landslide 4-0 victory against its opponent with Andres Mosquera (m. 10), Yairo Moreno (m. 35), Maximiliano Cerato (m. 54) and Luis Montes (m. 90) each scoring a goal.

It appeared to be a one-sided game with a lacklustre Queretaro and Leons who dominated the field from the beginning.
