Washington DC, Jun 13 (efe-epa).- The president of the United States said Wednesday the North Korean nuclear threat has disappeared, following the historic US-North Korea summit in Singapore.

After Tuesday's summit "everybody can now feel much safer," than the day he took office a year and a half ago, Donald Trump tweeted after returning to Washington after the summit.

"There is no longer a Nuclear Threat from North Korea. Meeting with Kim Jong Un was an interesting and very positive experience," he added to his tweet.

"Before taking office people were assuming that we were going to War with North Korea," said Trump in another message on Twitter.

"President Obama said that North Korea was our biggest and most dangerous problem. No longer - sleep well tonight!" he added.
