Buenos Aires, Apr 19 (efe-epa).- Argentine tennis player Juan Martin del Potro, currently number six on the ATP ranking, on Thursday opened a tennis complex with his name in the province of Buenos Aires and revealed that the extra pressure will not stop him from fighting to become number one in the world.

The complex inaugurated by Del Potro is located inside the neighborhood of Haras del Sur and is equipped with six clay courts, in addition to another six that will be built in the next months.

"I like it a lot more when working with family. When we share the same values, it's much nicer and easier to work together," said the 29-year-old professional tennis player.

Del Potro said at the press conference that he cares "little" about his position in the ranking and that his efforts to win the first place on the ATP world ranking does not generate any additional "adrenaline" or "extra pressure."

"I would love to be number one, but the truth is that when I was ranked at 1,000 I didn't feel 1,000. Now I'm at number 6, and considering the journey I've had, it is worth much more than a number in the ranking," he explained.

"The reality is that I'd opt for playing in a final like that one in Indian Wells against (Roger) Federer rather than a number in the ranking," he added.
