Indian Wells, USA, Mar 14 (efe-epa).- Spain's Carla Suarez Navarro on Tuesday set up a quarterfinal clash with Venus Williams at the Indian Wells Masters tennis tournament after beating Danielle Collins of the United States 6-2, 6-4 in one hour and 27 minutes.

Collins was no match for Suarez's high-quality tennis and confidence, committing a number of double faults and unforced errors.

"Happiness lies in the effort, the result is the small reward. On to the Indian Wells quarterfinals!" Suarez said on her official Twitter account after the match.

The Spaniard served well and found the lines in both sets, leaving Collins with few options in a match that should boost Suarez's confidence for the last eight, where she is set to play Williams.

Looking ahead, Suarez acknowledged she faced a tough match against Williams, but said she would put all her effort into reaching the Indian Wells semifinals for the first time in her career.

On Tuesday, Latvia's Anastasija Sevastova 7-6 (6), 6-4 fell to Williams, who had previously bested her sister Serena Williams in the previous round.
